Deianira Morris

Deianira specializes in historical archaeology and collections management. She obtained a BA in Archaeology from the University of Arizona in 2019 and is now pursuing a PhD in Archaeology at the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on historic medical practices in the American Southwest frontier, and how historic medicine shapes and is shaped by the intersection of people's identities, their deeply rooted traditional practices and cultural worldviews, and their interactions with the communities they live in. Deianira also has a passion historic architecture, historic preservation, and the archaeology of disability. As a writer, Deianira’s goal is to make information about ancient history more accessible and interesting to the public.
